A few days ago I noticed that my favorite face cream was running low. Over the years I have had a hard time finding a face cream that I liked. Back in 2007-ish I settled on
Under Age from Kiss My Face. It averages $15-$20 bucks for a small tube in stores near me. A small tube lasts me a long, long time so it was worth the investment.
I decided to look online and came across VitaCost. They have the Under Age face cream for $13.20 which is a good price. Amazon was $14.84 with free shipping, the Kiss My Face website has it for $21.00 with free shipping to give you an idea of what other places are charging.
I noticed on the VitaCost website that if you sign up for their emails you get a $10 credit sent to you. So that’s what I did, I signed up for their emails, waited for the email to come in with the $10 coupon code which I had within the hour.
I ordered one tube of my face cream and was tempted to buy a few bars of my favorite Chandrika Soap
and a Lip Balm but alas my bank account disagreed with me and said no to the soap and lip balm.(stupid self imposed budget – the soap was 69 cents a bar but I have soap and lip balm at home already)
I ended up having to pay$4.95 for shipping. If I had purchased $49 worth of items I would have had free shipping but again as tempting as it was I stuck to my budget.
So I paid $13.20 for my face cream plus $4.99 shipping minus the $10 credit and paid $8.19 to get my face cream shipped to me. If you shopped around and waited for a sale you could could probably save even more than I did. I was focused on just buying the one item that I knew I was going to have to purchase soon.
They also offer a referral program so if you want to be nice and let me smell like one of my favorite soaps you can sign up through my link and you get the $10 credit and I also get a $10 credit so we both win.
If you are wary of things like that then still go to VitaCost on your own and sign up for the emails to get your own $10 credit. (I won’t get anything but you will still save money.) Seriously, this is a good deal if you use any of the products they offer. Their prices are competitive and with the $10 off coupon even if you pay shipping it’s a great value.
