I have another hair conditioner to recommend. I outlined my particular hair problems in a previous post.
Sometimes my hair gets tired of a particular product and I need to switch things up, so I am always on the hunt for a good, budget friendly hair product that works with my hair.
My latest find is Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser Conditioner which retails for $3 -$4.
Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser Conditioner
This is a nice thick conditioner which I personally really like in conditioners.
I thought I would put together some of my favorite hair products. These are not affiliate links, I didn’t get paid/compensated in any way for this. These are the actual products that I use and that work for me.
A few years ago I had my thyroid removed due to cancer. My hair which I never had a problem with up until that point, is now always dry and frizzy(ugh).(I never appreciated how easy my hair used to be)
I also shed a huge amount whenever my thyroid medication is changed, which makes my hair go crazy, and turns it into a tangly mess.
These are some of my favorite products so far that consistently work well on my hair. I have tried many more products that have not worked and just left my hair greasy or feeling weighted down which I hate.
They are all also budget friendly.
I use this almost every time I get out of the shower. It never makes my hair feel greasy or weighted down.
I lost what felt/looked like almost half of my hair volume in my last shed from a thyroid medication change. Even after deep conditioning in the shower and putting on the sleek and shine leave in conditioner, my hair was still a tangly mess that I could not comb(I use a wooden comb I picked up at Sally Beauty Supply for $5). I tried another detangler that did nothing. This one works like magic for me. A few spritzes and I can easily comb through my long hair.
I just started using this and the conditioner and so far I am very happy with it. I alternate it with my Dove shampoo and conditioner.
If my hair isn’t behaving too badly, sometimes I can just use this and don’t need to use the leave in conditioner. I don’t know that it is making my hair shinier as it claims but it conditions well.
I never really thought that there was too much difference in hair elastics/ponytail holders. I have always preferred the ones with no metal on them, but now I have been converted to these. They have no metal and are also flat which holds my fine, slippery hair better without damaging it.
I have tried many other oil type products that left my hair really greasy and nasty. When my hair is super dry and frizzy I put this on the last few inches and it works wonders to smooth my hair.
This is my staple, go to shampoo. No matter how dry my hair is this always works on it.
Dove intensive repair conditioner
This is my staple, go to conditioner. No matter how dry my hair is this always works on it. I buy the biggest bottle of this conditioner I can find. Sometimes they have big bonus bottles at Target.
I hardly ever use styling products in my hair. When I want to get some more volume in my hair, or put some bun waves in I use this.
I cannot tell you how many other shine/gloss/smoothing sprays I have tried over the years. This is the ONLY spray that I have ever found that leaves my hair soft, smooth and shiny without being greasy or drying it out.
